Today I got a Rem 700P LTR in .223
I like the slim contoured HS Stock, and it is far stiffer in the forend than my B&C while being lighter. 20" barrels are perfect IMO for a .223 and I like the heavy contour fluted goodness. Rifle weighs 7.6 pounds, which is perfect as it's enough weight to feel balanced and steady, but not too heavy as I walk a lot while calling coyotes (usually a fair walk to my stands). The rifle will also be perfect for killing paper as .223 components are so cheap.
I stole a Nikon Buckmaster from my wife's rifle until I figure out glass. What do you guys recommend? I'm thinking Sightron, or something with exposed target caps.
