Well in the final days of the bow hunt in southern Ontario I got my deer. My dad went out for an ATV ride and came accross a little doe. It was curious and started coming towards him, he hit it a little back and came to get me after it took off. In his rush he lost his quiver and therefore his arrows, he met me at the house and I grabbed my bow. We headed back out and circled it to cut off the track, we heard it bleat and it just appeared head on at 15 yards. This is where things get really weird, I bring up the crossbow and when flicking it to fire the thing just goes off, the arrow goes over the deers head and it scrambles about 30 yards, I reload and the bow again goes off when I flick it to fire. Reload, then get an angle and at about 20 yards hold the red dot on the vitals and click it to fire, she went down for good within 30 yards. My dad feels a little bad because he did not put the deer down with the first bow but we made the best of it. My first deer with a bow, I have no pictures but the memories will be there, this has been a good year, first turkey and first bow deer.
