Youre story reminds me of my first deer kill.
There was deer meat everywhere in the kitchen,and I had no idea what to do with it all..lol.
Finally got it all figured out after about 10 hours.

Today it would take me about two hours to have it all cut and wraped and in the freezer.

Congrats, it will get easier the more you play the game!.

I did wrap the tag around the antler. When I got out there I realized I forgot the wire bit at home and figured improperly tagged was better than not tagged so I came up with that.

I've found myself without the wire for the tag once or twice too, but actually you'd be surprised that you can still put it around the tendon without the wire. Just make the slit in the leg beside the tendon a little longer (like as long as the tag is wide) and then slide the tag through the slit and it will stick together just as good as if you had the wire there.
