Hey guys

Like to give a big thanks to a few members on the board that put me in the right direction. Finally got my Hawken and had a blast target shooting with her yesterday. I also now know what they mean by flinch lock. Fired many weapons in my life and that has to be the hardest to maintain sight picture on! Still a great bit of fun that I'm sure with a bit of practice will get easy as pie.

Heading to get my FAC finally tomorrow after retiring from this mans army. Gonna be a dry week...but yah gotta do what yah gotta do I guess.

Congratulations. My brother shoots a Hawkens flintlock. I must say it is the funnest gun to shoot. The only trouble is when you take it to the range, everyone wants to shoot it. Not that that is ever a problem.

That's a fine looking rifle and the rock lock is the way to go, being frugal it kills me to spend 6 of 7 cents for a percussion cap....more so when the powder charge doesn't go off. But that is a whole other thread, any how enjoy your rifle and with a bit of practice you will be out to 100 meters in no time.
