Yesterday in the mail I got my m700 Titanium from Bashaw Sports. Awesome to deal with once again, and great prices! :D

Have mounted a brand new Leupold VXII 3-9x40mm matte in Talley lightweight mounts.


Just need to adjust the trigger (awful from the box :roll: ) and load up some rounds. Will have some pics and results on paper later today.


What an awesome rifle though so far. :D
 
yes, yes I am :D it's a great cartridge and I've wanted one for a couple years now. Was either this or the 308, but I kinda like the extra versatility the '06 has, loading 190-220 gr. bullets for bigger critters :wink:



Got the trigger down to a sweet crisp glass break, took 5 minutes :p
 
as much as I love my 25-284 and 260 Rem, I can realize they are not ideal for moose and elk, especially bigger versions of these. 30 caliber was the easy choice. :wink: Also having a lightweight rifle for long treks is nice, as both my other hunting rifles are around 8 lbs scoped. :idea:

what does yours weigh? I know the SAUM models have heavier barrel contours than the standard cartridges. my barrel measures a mere .55" @ the muzzle :shock: :twisted:
 
Well, I am not exactly sure...had the barrel fluted as well, had talley lightweight mounts but picked up a 30mm tubeb scope in a trade and went with standard rings and bases (would like to change that). The scope is a tad heavy and big :oops: but a fine piece of optics...Zeiss diavari vm\v 3-12x56 at 16.8 ounces. So she is a bit heavier than it should be...anyway I'll put her on a diet after hunting season. Let us know how yours shoots. :)
