got my new toy today .338lm

Wow, $1350 for a 338LM! I'm not sure how good this particular rifle is performance wise but that's a decent price to get started in the Lapua cartridge. At one time the Remington 338's were selling for 1200 bucks and now I see they're creeping close to $1900+....??

Well if you are not a 100 shot per hour guy, and just looking to have a little fun, the Savage 111 Long Range Hunter in .338 Lapua is selling for $1099 at Frontier Firearms. That is what I just ordered. Great starter gun I think.

The Millet turns kinda hazy after you go higher than 20x on the magnification. But still usable. I had my 338 out to 1760 yards. Tried 2400 yards but no one could spot bullet trace or impacts on the ground.

Had it up for sale and and a buyer for it. Guess he found an old post of mine where I mentioned that I had 2 holes touching. After making adjustments between the 2 shots. So he lost interest. Glad he did.

For a $500 ish scope, its not bad. 140 MOA of internal elevation makes it a nice scope for long range. One I have is 3 years old, I think.
