I have a GSG 1911. I'm looking to get my second .22 handgun. What are the gotta have .22s?

I'm thinking of a Ruger Singile-Six.

Perhaps a SIG Sauer Mosquito if it functions similarly as a P226. What kind of reputation does the SIG Sauer Mosquito have?

I saw a ISSC .22 today that looked kind of interesting today..

Well you already have a Semi, so a Single six would be a good choice, or some kind of double action .22 revolver, like a S&W 617.

I'm a big Sig fan but the Mosquito is a piece of shyte. I agree with a revolver or if you want another semi, the Ruger MarkIII can't be beat. Buckmark is also good. If you want a Sig, get a 226

I've always been tempted by a Ruger convertible (.22LR and .22 WMR) and the Kel-Tec PMR-30 (.22 WMR). I had a Ruger Mark III Hunter (7" fluted barrel) that was amazing. I met a guy at the range that had the target model (slab sided 7" barrel) with a red dot scope on it and he was making 4" groups at 100 yards. I never shot it, he could have been spinning tall tales?

Scott.

You gents should have a look at the new Tuarus model 94. Nice little revolver. 9 shots, double action, swing out cylinder, adjustable sights, 5" lugged barrel, and comes in matt stainless or a bright polish like the good'ol days of nickle finishes. Aftermarket wood grips are avialble on line from different places, too.

I have an IISC and had a sig mosquito they both work good as long as you used Mini Mags because they can be very picky with other ammunition. 1 of my favorites is the Smith and Wesson 22A they are very accurate guns. Lately I have been thinking of picking up 1 of those Keltec PMR's just wish we could have the full mag capacity.

I wasn't a huge fan of my wifes Beretta Neos at first but it has won me over. It seems to be a love or hate type of gun for most people. Looking at it at first the grip seemed odd and I wasn't liking the looks, but after shooting it for a couple years now it is definitely on MY list of must haves.

How could I forget...I had a S&W model 41 once that was a great gun. Found it to be a little big so I sold it. My Colt woodsman is a .22 pistol I would never sell. I have never felt a trigger like it, the grip is superb and it points very well. Very accurate and found it for $250. They make a target model with a heavy barrel that is quite nice as well.

Good luck in your search.

Auto - Ruger MkIII 22/45. You won't be disappointed.
Wheel - S&W 617 - Can't beat the quality, fit and finish.

The auto loaders will shoot straighter, easier to shoot, and penetrate considerabley more, than a 22 revolver.
Of the semis mentioned I rate the High Standard as better than a 41 or 46, a Ruger semi a bit below the 41 and a Colt Woodsman Match Target as best.

Ruger mkii, accurate and super reliable.
These new walthers look interesting and priced right.

Thanks for all the ideas, lots of wicked little .22's.

I have a Ruger GP100. The Tuarus model 94 and the S&W 617 would probably make good trainers.

I've read a few reviews of Tauarus' and S&W's quality control and customer service that make me a little hesitant though. Thoughts?
