Gotta have .22 handguns?

-Hammerli Model 150 for pistol matches.
-Star Model F for daughters and nephew to shoot because it's lighter and smaller for thier hands.
-Great Western SAA copy because a wheelgun in rimfire is fun to have.
-Ruger Mk II 5.5inch bull barrel, just because it's so darn good shooting and very reliable.

I have a bias, but I'm really looking forward to getting the K22S in my hot little hands.

I always liked the idea of a full sized .22lr companion to the centerfire gun. So often recently the rimfire models have been somewhat toylike.
I need to get the K22S in hand to be sure, but the frame is identical and the magazine looks sturdy.

Sounds like you have to decide why you gotta have it first. As us Canucks are restricted to pretty much shooting paper, I've only got one. My Hi Standard Victor is a lot better than me. If you want to broaden your skills with pistols, sounds like a revolver makes more sense. If you're thinking of doing some of the practical shooting, your choices would be different.

If you are looking into a Single six, if it were me i would buy the New Ruger Bearcat its no longer a prohib!
That wyould be my choice verus buying the sig which to me is a pistol like you already have in the 1911.
Ive handled the bearcat in a shop in michigan it is so damn small and cool.
That is if you can find one here.

I own both a Smith and Wesson M41 and a Smith and Wesson M46 which in my mind the finest target pistols money can buy. They are extremely accurate and just keep shooting beautifly year after year. I don't think you can do any better then one of these as well.

If you are considering a wheelgun, and are looking at a Single-Six convertible,
you may want to try and locate a S&W Model 48 with both cylinders
This is, IMHO, the finest convertible out there, double action to boot!
Trouble is, one with both cylinders is hard to find, since most only came with the WMR cylinder.
Eagleye.

I have an IISC and had a sig mosquito they both work good as long as you used Mini Mags because they can be very picky with other ammunition. 1 of my favorites is the Smith and Wesson 22A they are very accurate guns. Lately I have been thinking of picking up 1 of those Keltec PMR's just wish we could have the full mag capacity.

i have a sig mos as well and god's honest truth i never had any issues at all every round i put in came out i was shocked as hell it actually out preformed my M&P.22 and the only issues with the M&P was miss fire thats it, I was using CCI mini mags, CCI Stingers, CCI Blazers and Fed bulk pack all perfect i could not be happier. But the M&P.22 is my fav.

+ 1 for S & W 41. I will be courting my mentor to sell me his S & W 41 with a 5 1/2" and a 7" in the next few months. He was disappointed when he saw me with a new Buckmark Contour few months back and telling me he was about to offer me his S &W 41 as he was contemplating in buying another rimfire pistol. He bought another Buckmark model few weeks later.

S&W Model 41, S&W Model 17, old Model Browning .22 Auto's, Ruger .22's, and High Standard .22's are all good places to start.

Can't beat High Standard HD Military, Citations or Trophy. They just shoot well! Standard velocity only though, if you want them to last. They really like CCI SV. Personally, never could get a Ruger Single-Six to hit the broad side of a barn shooting from the inside... Could be me, of course.
