Yeah... Take the whole plan to the "Dragon's Den" and see how far you get with attracting investors

No one is getting rid of "The Grange".
I have had VERY successful meetings with the current executives. In my opinion, they are ALL very stand-up people.
Both Target and the Execs have stayed focused on keeping the membership looked after.
Changes need to be made, but as far as I am concerned, only for the better.
Again, I will be presenting all of this at the AGM on Jan 19th.

One of the things we as leagues here in Ontario promote are matches that are always open to other club members who are qualified and want to attend. Our leagues PPC, IPSC and CDP are open to all shooters not just club members.
This is not really adding any clarity Steve.
So...to be clear:
As far as I am aware...there is no official definition of an IPSC League. We all know what the Confederation is (the one you have to join...in this case IPSC Ontario) but these independent "action shooting leagues" can be just that... independent.
In order for a range to officially particiapte in santioned IPSC matches (let's jus deal with Ontario for now) they must be affiliated. If they then decide to hold santioned matches...those matches must be open to all IPSC members.
However...those same clubs can have a league nite that we (IPSC Ontario) have nothing to do with. They can restrict it to "Range members" if they choose...they can allow non IPSC members to particiapte...it's at their discression.
I'll use Burlington as an example (anyone from that club can verify this info). In addition to a couple of sanctioned matches each year...they have a regular IPSC type practice (i think on Tuesday nites) These events are not sanctioned by IPSC Ontario...and they are free to invite who they wish. The results are not sent to IPSC Ontario...and they run these activities as they see fit.
Sanctioned IPSC Activity (and the required membership in IPSC)...and Action Pistol Leagues (even if they call it IPSC Nite) are not the same thing.
The matches at the Grange have been santioned by IPSC which means in the past, it would have to be open to all IPSC Members (as indicated by D.L) but what the new owners decide to do is entirely up to them.
The IPSC Ontario Board is there to assist them in any way we can...

JR here…
I personally think this will work itself out. Maybe I didn’t make myself clear in our meeting or I was misinterpreted. Regardless, if anyone wishes to “discuss” this further with me, I am more than happy to hear both the positives and the negatives.
