You're luck - I think it looks BETTER with the black barrel!

Does everyone else's serial number start with 'DA'? Just curious if they built these specifically for Dlask Arms. :)

No backstraps with mine either, but I actually expected that based on what Canuck223 mentioned before about the 'small box' models like these. Don't care - fits me perfect as-is!

Yes, the serial numbers on all 3 I received from Dlask start with DA. I never put that together with Dlask Arms though. Looks like the new stuff coming in has serial numbers starting with K, so it very well could be :)

I think Dlask may have had a few special models in from Grand Power - maybe to display some of the variations/options the guns could be ordered in. I got my new X-Calibur in with a bull barrel, which is great because I had just been talking to Canuck223 a month ago about wanting to try one compared to the fluted barrel in my existing X-Calibur. He said it was available as a factory special order - but it's not commonly stocked because the extra mass of the barrel can cause cycling problems with lower velocity ammo (eg 147 gr loaded to the minimum IPSC 125 power factor). Will be trying it out with some 115gr and 124 gr ammo next week - as soon as the reg certs get here. Will see if there's a noticeable difference in recoil compared to my old X-Calibur.

My X-trim showed up today.... and first impression; AWESOME.

I have itty-bitty hands, so if/when smaller backstraps become available I will gladly pick up a smaller set and it should fit even better for me.

Took my MP9 magazine holster and just tightened it up a bit and the grand powers fit it nicely. Now for a holster and I am ready to go on the next CQB match! No more having to physically draw my magazine out like on the Browning High Power Ive been using!

Fiber optic sight is great, and the mag release is a good size, so its hard to miss! Again, complaint about my hand and not the actual gun; hopefully I can get and extended slide release made up to fit my midget hands.

I believe the PC term is micro-phalangeal. :)

You shouldn't really need to worry about the slide release, as it will auto forward if you slap in a loaded mag with anything approaching authority.

Ganderite messaged me with that same info on the auto forward yesterday.

Got a chance to try it out today, and the trigger pull is amazing. Shoots great, and all around a great gun. Thanks to Dlask for an amazing deal! Unfortunately, as mentioned, my micro-phalangeals arent as comfortable around the stock grip. One smaller and I think Ive got a winner for what I'll be using as my main 9mm!

The S&W MP9 with the small is just the right size for me, but I can honestly say I like the Grand Power much better than the M&P.

I have an extra small grip if you want it. The stock medium grip fits me just fine.

Got mine! Good overall fit and finish. Great price and feels good in hand. Id like a larger backstrap but it is what it is. Only issue so far is how much of a pain in my a** it is to reassemble after a basic field strip. I've watched videos and read reviews and she is still being a b*tch

Cant get the slide to go far enough back during re-assembly to seat on the rails. I've tried assembling with the barrel forward as the manual suggests. Guide rod and spring properly in place. Slide still wont go far enough back. Any videos I find are garbage and/or arent for the Mk12. Manuals not even for the MK12. Looking for any suggestions cause idk what Im missing here. For the record its a K100 Xtrim

I had trouble as well. try pulling down on the release where the trigger guard is while re-assembling. That and making sure the barrel was sitting properly worked for me.

Bring down the slide. It won't slide in. You need to push it down hard and it will click. Don't worry about the take down levers for reassembly. They are only for when you go to disconnect the slide. Took me a while too. Actually took it apart, G96 and oiled it. Then couldn't get it together so had to put the pieces in the safe. The next day I tried again and got it.

Got it to go thanks guys!! I had to manipulate the take down levers as Benivolent suggested. It went on first try after that. Its just a lot to be fumbling with all at once. My manual is for the MK7. I'm assuming that manipulation of the take down levers are required for MK12's as those on the Mk7's remain down and out of the way during the process??

I'm so eager to get her out to the range! I'm used to Glocks mainly and the S/A on this pistol feels phenomenal. Need a back strap kit though cause I find the one included to be too small for what I prefer.
