I was down at "Wade's guns" in Seattle today renting guns. For 12 bucks you can shoot all the handgun's in the store. They have tons. Trying to keep it simple we shot 9mm and 45 acp.

Tried the following;

-glock 26
-XD Sub Compact
-Ruger p-95
-Kimber custom 1911
-Walther p-99
-SIG 229
-SIG 226 with Crimson Trace laser grips!

Both their HK's and Berretta's were broken and away for repairs, go figure. They had every glock imaginable. My fav out of the ones we shot was the SIG 229. It had a really nice feel. The glock 26 was suprisingly very accurate, I was very impressed. The most accurate gun was the Kimber by far. I put 7 shots thru one big hole, that was fun. I had a great time, I really wished their HK's would have been available. My buddy and I agreed that the glock 17 is by far the best all around gun. You can pick it up and shoot it quite well with very little familarization. I didn't like the SIG trigger at all. Other than that the SIG226 was very sweet. I could've bee there all day I think.

good times!

skycrane, first, I am glad you had a good time! Secondly, the photo is of my Kimber Custom Compact (too evil for Canadians to own) and it will shoot with the big boys all day. Lastly, I know a guy in Lynnwood, Washington that works in a gunshop/range and that may be a little closer. PM me and I will send you a web site he has. Regards, Richard :D

ya, Wade's was fun. I found it soooo cool how everyone that walked in off the street was carrying concealed. You would not believe what a fun atmosphere the gun range was down there. They was complete families shooting with Grandma and all. Lots of girls, moms etc. Everyone was having a good time with no tough guy image. I was really impressed. It reminded me of going to a soccer game or something, the guns were like soccer balls, no one was scared of them or nothing. Just lots of fun. I wish I had more money I would have shot everygun they had!

to reply to Richard...that is a very sweet gun...i think Redleg is bringing those in for us. The compact and such. Very cool. I must say nothing beats a 1911 for accuracy. Nothing. I picked up the kimber with no prior 1911 shooting ever and put 7 rds thru the same hole. That was something else.
