The interesting thing I find on these threads are the locations that talk about the cheap prices they get on 1000 or 500 rounds compared to the OP but most of these places also have a higher sales tax (12 to 13%) compared to Alberta which is 5%. It still works out a little cheaper but not as much as one might be made to believe.

That still works great for us here in Alberta if you can get free shipping since we only pay 5% when we mail order. I do it all the time as long as they pay the shipping like Canadaammo and Frontier (my 2 favorites for online purchases).
But for the locals, ya they get screwed and still pay more than us because of their higher tax.

Keep stocking up. You never know when the zombies will come:)

I believe they also have Winchester 55 gr at $399 for 1000 rounds as well or $199 for 500 rounds of AE (If you don't want to spend as much).

There sold out of the Winchester and they didn't figure they would be getting any more back in which is too bad because I liked that win alot better than the AE.

Now I remember why I shoot 7.62 instead of 223, lot cheaper.

Yeah. Unfortunately many ranges have banned the military surplus ammo.

Now 7.62x39 is a dollar per shot for commercial hunting ammo.

That's too bad. I haven't been there in a while but did pick up a case of the AE for $199.00 last time I was.

They really should take it off the website if they no longer have it. They usually are pretty good about updating their website weekly with changes in their firearm inventory so you would think they would do the same with ammo. I'd hate to make a trip down there with the sole purpose of purchasing a case of the Winchester only to find they have been sold out for several weeks.

Sorry about that. They are also out of Hornady Steel Match all the time too ever since I got my Tavor. Twice in one week I had them ask if I needed help carrying my ammo out to my car.:D
