Being new to long range shooting, I've been doing lots of looking around for different tricks on everything from the rifle to techniques and ballistics. I stumbled across a series of videos on YouTube provided by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) that cover a lot of the important meat and potatoes stuff I've been looking for. The instructor, Ryan Cleckner has sniper experience with the Rangers and is a natural teacher with a knack for getting the info across in the simplest manner possible. I really enjoyed these videos and will definitely be using some of the material when I take my rifle to the range. I figured I would bring them to CGN to help out other newbies like myself, and maybe enlighten an old grizzled shooting vet. Enjoy!

Watched the first couple and have never seen it taught so well. He goes at a good pace, but breaks it down quite well too. His instructor experience comes shining through.

I have watched pretty much all of LoneWolfUSMC's videos as well as the Road to Precision vids and the videos in the OP, all excellent btw. But I can honestly say that if you want to learn about long range shooting, Sniper 101 videos would be my first recommendation. I was skeptical at first especially seeing the word "sniper" in the title, but the amount of information your presented with is almost overwhelming.

Calibre selection, bullet selection, rifle selection (bolt and semi), harmonics (rigidity), scope selection (including MIL/MOA explanation), and trigger selection have all been covered in amazing detail so far, and i'm only on part 16 of 39. If you decide to watch make sure you pay very close attention because a lot of technical terms and info is discussed. It's basically physics class for gun enthusiasts.
