How does that attach?
iv always found a good rear bag to be more stable and predictable then the rear monopods.
under recoil pulse the rifle will side on the bag, with a monopod the pod moves with the rifle and on differend surfaces will act differently.
they are a neat idea but thumbs down from me and yes iv shot with and own one of them
I will echo your sentiments on the rear bag..........you can also easily make slight elevation adjustments by squeezing the bag tighter........
Also take note that some competitions have weight restrictions for rifles.....and the weight includes attached accessories........with the Tactical/precision rigs we have these day, this little accessory might just tip you over the scales..........a rear bag is not attached to the rifle so there is no additional weight on the rifle......![]()
I had a momopod and threw it away. Its a nice gimmick but nowhere near as versatile or practical as a rear bag. It may work ok on a nice flat surface like a bench on a ramge but in the field its useless.
I would think they might be useful for field expediency - when you can't carry a bag. There is a reason F-Class guys use bags.
I agree that a leather bunny ear style bag is not very practical for the most part in field.
I agree that a leather bunny ear style bag is not very practical for the most part in field. I made a sand sock out of an old army sock with poly beads from a craft store and find it more useful than a bunny ear bag, but thats just me. Its light, doesn't absorb moisture due to the poly beads and is easy to pack in the field.
