I have seen a greener police shotgun*spelling?* it was basically a martini action that shoots 12 g 2 3/4 shells . Does anyone know if 350$ is a good deal and how often do you see them. Any helpful info would be great!. Also why were they made and hows the kick ?.

They originally used a special 14 gauge round that has a weird ring groove in the base of the shell. It needs this ring, because the firing pin has two extra prongs that extend out also.
I dont know if $350 is a good price now, but I got mine at a gunshow two or threee years ago for $200. He was asking $250.

I have a greener police martini action that I,m installing a rifled 12 gauge barrel on . I,m planning on turning it into a replica of a victorian era 12 bore rifle, I,ll post pictures when it,s done ( could be a while , ha ). As to recoil , I had an old greener sporting martini in 16 gauge , felt recoil was about the same as any single shot light weight shotgun , a bit thumpy. If we're looking at the same gun, the full length stock will add some weight up front and help with the recoil. These guns also have a safety which (I think ) is an improvement over the military actions. If its in good shape 350 seems to be quite reasonable for unique piece of firearms history

The Martini Greeners are great guns here s a pic of mine.Greener GP 12GA

I had one of them, the one I had was in 12 gauge 2 3/4" chamber.

Condition is everything. They range from like new to very discoloured. In nice cosmetic shape, should be worth that.

BTW, make sure the action actually works and will fire a shell if you can.
