greetings from greece

NOT AT ALL:D but for the gun laws only the smooth bore shot gun is allowed for hunting all the rest for target shooting only.
There have been some very good wild boar hunting photos posted here on CGN from mainland Greece.
Is there restrictions on the number of slugs such as Royale or Brenneke slugs one needs for wild boar, where you live? And are pump actions allowed for private ownership?

Cheers!

I can't read greek (ashamedly ) though I can speak it, but I'm willing to bet that droid1963 posted "Ti kani to poulaki sou".

Droid, you're obviously almost as old a fart as me and evidently a past or present Montrealer. Ralph Lockwood...man, talk about a blast from the past.

Hello to you, Samgunner. I'm of greek descent as well, born here of parents from Xanthi (northern Greece). I have relatives in Athens.

Stay safe!
Hello Peter, Xanthi is great for hunting,droid1963 possibly meant that,I didnt speak Greek better my self when I lived in Canada:)

Mostly Piraeus now,no the pump actions are legal, and the slugs you mentioned, they have introduced the wild boar in Peloponesus also where it was extinct, it went well and hunting is allowed. The wild boar generally is in good numbers in all the main land, and is hunted systematically.

I have to repeat our appreciation for foreign land hunting/hunters.
Myself I was once in the middle east and I picked up my desire for Greek food recipes while over there.
In my honest opinion, the mediterranean recipes for wild boar are superior by far, to any others.
Maybe this has to do with the centuries old ritual of boar hunting in the southern regions of Europe.

I digress, welcome to our humble forum samgunner ο φίλος μου!
