Hey Guys. After a weekend in the Woods you really start wondering about the creatures moving around out of sight. Sitting in a cut at 6am really gives you a feeling for how dense the woods are here in B.C. Since we didn't see much to shoot at this weekend  we had lots of time to talk about bears and other things roaming the woods. My buddy john has been hunting for over 30 years and was actually Charged by a Griz back in about '96. Stuff like that makes for good stories
I am in the process of buying a Winchester Defender off of a Fellow CGN'r for use as a Bear Defense gun. I'm planning on running 3" Mag Slugs through it.
My question is, Have any of you guys ever been charged by a Grizzly? What was the outcome? Did you have to Drop it? Can you give any tips as to how to prepare your self for an attack? It's one thing having a gun to defend your self with but if it jumps up 25' away from you, you have a split second to have your gun up and the bear shot. How do you prepare for something like that?
Stories are Great, so if you have a Grizz story TELL IT
We also ended up talking about Big Foot. Apparently The son of a guy we hunt with has seen one  I started looking into it on the net and there is lots of info. There have been ALOT of reported sightings here in B.C. over the last Century. Any of you guys believe in Big Foot AKA Sasquach? My rational is the Wolverine. incredible creature that is terribly rare. not much is known about them and not many people are lucky enough to see one in their lifetime. Also, as I said, the woods are so thick and dark I see no reason why something like that couldn't hide it's self if it wanted to. I am a believer and find it pretty cool to think about. Anyone on here have a story? This is a Bull#### Free zone
Cheers,
Wally
