HahahahahahaThe world was very different 8 years ago.
Now I don’t even know where in supposed to be putting my ankles and if they’re supposed to be up should they be up higher than my elbows I’m just not sure
I went down a similar rabbit hole with my 6.5-300 wby. Wanted a “bump in the night” load for when I’m backpack hunting in bear country. I settled on the 160gr woodleigh ppsn. This might be a good thread for something I’ve been thinking about. What’s the best 6.5-.264” grizzly bullet? I was thinking of loading up some 140 grain lapua naturalis, or maybe the 155 mega.

Yeah they can be difficult to source, particularly with the recent production issues over there. I’ve managed to squirrel away enough for my use. It’s a little lighter but my second choice would probably have been the 140 partition.I’ve looked for them before but couldn’t find any supplies in Canada.

I'd be taking my 8mm as well. Was at the range this week and had 200gr Swift a-frame's shooting 2600 fps. Stout load out of a 22 inch barrel.I'd go with 8 mil.
The tracejectory is better, IMO.
It's true, the 602's in 300 win and 8x68s versions take 6+1.Some say you can get six in the 602 mag but I only put in five.
I love my 9.3 x 62! I have seen and read a lot about them being very popular for big bears and bison.A 9.3x62 or a 35 Whelen would also be good, and recoil is more manageable.
I’m not sure I understand what you mean? I’m shooting 156 berger eol at the moment and I know for sure they’re not a bear bullet.interested in what your research has shown

I have an old ugly iron sighted only mod 98 that I made into a 8mm06 and with 200gn bullets going 2745fos it sure would do the job… I tried to sell it but no one was interestedI'd be taking my 8mm as well. When I'm guiding I'm usually packing my irons Husqvarna M98 and feel plenty safe with 5+1 in the belly.

I had my eye on that for a long time, timing just wasn’t right!I have an old ugly iron sighted only mod 98 that I made into a 8mm06 and with 200gn bullets going 2745fos it sure would do the job… I tried to sell it but no one was interestedso I decided to keep it just for a bad weather/camp gun/boat gun….
They tend to blow up. They’re not bonded in any sort of way. That’s why i was thinking of going with a naturalis, it’s a little lighter, but solid. I don’t plan on being eaten by a bear, but i might sleep better with something else. What did you see with the berger that makes you say that?
(I’ve never used a berger in anything nor have any plans to, I’m just curious)
Let me know when you are readyI had my eye on that for a long time, timing just wasn’t right!
