Grumpy Wolverine covers up a UTAS UTS-15 fail!

Funny. No Norinco has ever failed to work for me, all of them were great, including shotguns, handguns, rifles. The exterior finish often could have used work, but they were solid tools.

Most of the parts including the receiver on entry level Remington 870s are made in China now, then the shotguns are assembled in the US .

Wolverine Supplies and John in particular has treated me more then fairly and gone above and beyond in the product support department when needed.
This is a huge reason to support Wolverine.
That said, I do find it strange that there was an effort made to hide the failure...... s h i t happens but it's how you deal with it that counts. If there is a problem with certain shells just let people know about it. No big deal. Show us the failure and how to clear it.

Seems like Grumpy Wolverine was happy with the way the gun was running generally, and recognized that the problem was limited to certain shells..... unfortunately he tried to save some time by pretending that everything was fine in this take so as not to have to shoot it again. Lazy Wolverine perhaps.

I doubt you have experience with norc guns at all. Plus, you expect failures from mass production shotguns? And you said you are a lawyer and a 'good person'?!?! How s that even possible?

I have two Norinco guns, M305 and M87 shotgun. While I do not claim to be a Norinco expert (and I am glad not to be), I can speak from personal experience. The fit and finish on these guns is garbage, but they work and for the money I paid, they work very well.

Did the M16s not fail when they were first fielded? How many iterations of the design was tested until it was "perfected"? Not every design is perfect from the get go and there are certain thing that improve with each generation. UTAS is no exception.

And as for your other statement, I said those things in a light-hearted manner for comic relief.

Talk about flogging a dead horse.

Maybe we should tie poor old Grumpy Wolverine to a tree and give him a public flogging. How dare he be permitted to make a mistake, or maybe you would all prefer that I give him a 9 millie behind the ear?

As long as you film it.... ;)

Or, just make him catch chickens for some Mennonites for a while, that'll teach him! :D

Good Idea John, (the public flogging not the 9mm) Although I guess this is the modern equvalent of a public flogging.
Grumpy might as well own it and enjoy the roasting...... :)

Keep up the good work Wolverine Supplies!

Source?

after spending the last 15 minutes googling, the consensus is that this is urban myth. Remington claims the 870's are made in the USA, including the receiver.

Now you're changing your views. You said: "Turkish guns, compared to Chinaware, are of much higher quality."

I honestly cannot agree with this statement. China is a world class manufacturing economy and they make things to ANY price point. Some of their guns are fantastic, others are produced to a lower price point. I've not owned a reputable chinese gun that did not function very well, but often the Canadian importers opt for the cheapest furniture and finishes to hit a price point objective.

China is the No.2 arms exporter in the world, a great many of the countries of the world issue Chinese-made military equipment, including guns, and are very happy with the results they are getting.

I will tell you, I would rather have a Chinese 870 clone like a DA Grizzly than almost ANY Turkish pump gun build on an aluminum receiver. Long after the turkish gun is recycled into soda cans, the all-steel 870 clones will still be going strong IMHO.

Good point. Hey and the guy said he s a lawyer and I wonder how the Justice can listen to his B$ on court.

I have Gen3 and Gen4 UTS from Wolveriene...They do eat the cheap short "brass" winchester jam-o-matic white box ammo without failures ( 500 of that and still waiting for the famous jam or fail to eject ) So you complaining guys either are dealing with Gen1 and 2 or you just don't know how to use it ...or I got really lucky with mine.

Make sure you video the flogging

I am sure Grumpy will have noted your request for future consideration!

Seriously I think it is time everyone lightened up a little, sat back and enjoyed life!

Think of poor old Grumpy, sitting at home crying in his beer. Where is the love?

If he has a beer to cry into, you have not yet been harsh enough with him - lol.
