Gryphon Binary Exploding Rifle Targets - get some bangs for your bucks!

Sorry, I'm new to binary targets. That video (first post), was that a single 1 Lb target? This looks like too much fun, now where's that credit card gone....
 
I thought the same thing at first but it seemed too good to be true, it turns out that first video was 3kg according to Gryphon.
The others are 1 lb targets.

I'll still get several cases of the stuff, don't get me wrong, it's still hugely exciting :)
 
what do you just shoot the little box (target) im guessing its a one shot thing and there are 24 of these in an order (the 1/2lbs) one?

is this like tannerite?
 
Latest update: we should be receiving our shipment Monday/Tuesday so if you requested an EMT payment option, you will be contacted shortly for payment. Anyone know if this is as powerful as Shockwave? 2lbs of that obliterated two 40 lb jackpine stumps and threw kindling 80yards away.Tried to order a sample pack but site tried to bill for shipping when it advertized as free and something about a coupon code?.I don't want a watered down version. Harold

This is definitely not a watered down product! Our free shipping on the Gryphons are on caseloads (I know I didn't make that clear in previous posts) but message me your postal code and we'll see what we can do for less than caseloads. The Gryphon team is very experienced with explosives and is dedicated to providing a great quality product, full strength :)

No, I doubt it shoots that high. I would suspect 80 grains of FFF black powder with a .54 calibre round ball (230 grains) and a 24 inch barrel would bring me into the range of 1,400+ fps muzzle velocity. Out at 100 yards, I'd suspect it would drop down to 900 fps. Does that mean it's not enough to ignite this tannerite?

No it won't. You need a velocity of about 2200 FPS or faster to set it off. At least that is what the other brands need.
 
Approx FPS is 2000 FPS but in time Gryphon will be able to provide us with more specific requirements for detonation!
 
We should be getting a shipment of targets on Monday/Tuesday - YAHOOOOOO! More will be following in approx 3 weeks. We will not have any spare 1/2 lb targets, although 1 lb cases are still available. For anyone wishing to order the 1/2 lb targets, we expect to ship by the end of August.
 
Order in for a case. I was there for the product testing day and these targets are awesome! Every time we shot one I could feel the compression in my chest.
 
I have a question regarding these targets, can you take a 1 lb container and divide it up into say four 1/4 lb containers? Or is it something that you absolutely shouldn't mess with?
