GSG 1911 with DLASK trigger job (now with CT grips)

Well, I did it...this is where the ct grips will be staying :) I am taking a new shooter to the range on Sunday and I know he will love this thing! I did have to take the ambi slide safety off, I hope that won't be an issue...it is just the one side and it slid out very easily with the grips off. It did not seem like it was holding anything in place anyhow...

Blue line is 25 dollars flat rate shipping for everything....DLASK was cheaper but I don't remember what it was exactly.

Forgive my ignorance

I'm still a Noobie. What are CT grips? (And how much are they for how much of an improvement?)
(I'm contemplating the GSG 1911.)

They are Crimson Trace Grips...they shoot a fricken' laser.

Basically a low profile laser site incorporated into the grip. I also find it to be a very comfortable grip.

Thanks for the info. Now, here is ANOTHER product to budget for :yingyang:
but you said that you find it to be comfortable and this is a PLUS.

Steel barrel bushing

Where can one find a steel barrel bushing?

I have just received confirmation from Josef Dlask that all his GSGs come with the steel barrel bushing. This was the last of my concerns.

My next order will be the GSG 1911 .22cal LR from Dlask..........

The ami safety looks like half of the pin that the grip safety is pivoting on.... But I guess it would be okay....
It is. The right-side half is engaged in a slot of the left-side one. Made of aluminum, it broke off from the pressure of rubber grips I put on (stock wooden right-side grip has a bit shaved off to accommodate the ambi). The grip safety works just as well though.

That is good to know I am not the only one playing without it. I may cut off the extended safety portion and put it back in, but then hopefully I never try to sell this thing.

When I said "for everything" I just ment the pistol and insurance and handling to anywhere in canada. You are correct (of course) it is 30 not 25. My mistake.
