Mine eats anything and everything I feed it, only ever had 2 ftf in well over a 1000 rds because of dropping the rounds in the snow and still loading them wet ... Prob iced up a bit. Once your broken in give the feed ramps a mirror finish polish (barrel AND frame) and you shouldn't have any problems with ammo.

No, but I had some parts get messed up bad when my guide rod bent, had to replace everything to do with the guide rod including barrel bushing. Blue line replaced it all with factory but after seing how the factory guiderod doesnt quite seat properly I've since switched to a gsgpro full length. Only other thing changed out was mainspring which is 1lb less and removed the mag safety.
Also, I wouldn't run the gun without the takedown screw ... It's there for a reason.
Destabilised bullets tumbling and punching through the target sideways. It rips a kinda oblong hole through the target rather than punching a clean circle. I'd been shooting and was improving slowly (I'm new to handguns) and then became rapidly worse again. When I looked at the target up close I was seeing holes shaped like the bullets seen from the side. I fired a few rounds at very close range to confirm my suspicions.
When I got the gun home to clean it, I eventually ended up having to tap a cleaning rod through the bore to push out long slivers of lead that had filled the rifling, before I could finish cleaning normally. Don't know whether it's the ammo or the gun, but I guess I'll see next time I take it out.
What did you use to do the polishing?

I shot about 200 rounds of federal bulk pack with a few fte and ftl. Then the second time I shot it i switched to winchester and I couldn't shoot 2 bullets in a row without it jamming up on me. Lots of failure to eject, but almost as many fail to load. Is this gun just a piece of Shi* ? I've read on other sites about replacement parts fixing some of these problems because of gsg design problems? Anyone have any experience with this?
I was advised to break in the GSG with high velocity ammo. I have run 150 rounds of CCI stinger without a single failure. Also, I noticed that the action is quite stiff on the pistol, when new, so use lots of lubrication.
I apologize for the problems you are having with your GSG. I would suggest trying some CCI Stingers as the person above suggested to see if the firearm will cycle those during its break in period. If it is still not cycling please PM me and we will figure out what the issue is and have it solved for you.

CCI Stingers for me too. Federal is a no-go.
dremel with a buff pad (almost same contour as feed ramps) and artisan por15 polish but any metal polish should work. Lots of guys use flitz if you can find it (I would if I could)
Also polished the outside of the barrel so I see a polished barrel through the ejection port.
No it's not...
They put a ramp on the barrel for the newer ones oginall they had a steel guide rod but replaced it with a cast one then they started breaking so they redesigned it so there weren't 2 sharp corners togther the orginal complaint were the rubber washers wearing out they were changed with a clear polymer one to solve that now they never wear out. The change of the guide rod was causeing them to break because they would hit the barrel bushing and it would break that was replaced with steel so then the guide rod was cast and it would break they if it was steel and steel it would cause stress on the frame and some of them did crack or break over time. Most problems were people not cleaning them or puting them back togther. So basicly any issuse that has happened has been redesigned to correct it ie the magazines were redisgned and the problem with feeding.
I gave it a good cleaning and oiled it and will definitely be running the CCI ammunition through next time at the range. Is there a specific ammo by CCI thats better than the other, or are they all fairly similar. I've been told stingers, mini mag, blazers?
I have well over 2000 (probably closer to 3000 judging by empty federal/winchester bulk pak boxes i have) on my GSG.
and it's still going strong.

it's not as reliable as Ruger Mk3 i had, but i don't even mind. only thing i sort of dislike is the difficulty obtaining target, but i ordered fiber optic front sights from dlask to correct that.
Excellent mags, hugh fun.. .. acceptable accuracy, if not great. make sure you have lots of lube! i usually put a drop of gun oil in the slide at the beginning of each range session. (if i have extended session, i spray wd40 to rinse it down after about 300 rounds)
and it's still going strong.

Where did you get the barrel bushing ? part number and brand?
I have access to a machine shop so I am going to clone the original guide rod, only i will make it out of one piece of stainless and make it a little longer.
Custom made by a friend at the machine shop where I work. Basicallty took a stock barrel bushing for a 45, bored it out, put in a bronze plug, and then drilled and bored that to size.
I am still trying to buy one of the custom barrel bushings being offered by CW accessories. I believe Blueline is in talks with them to get some of the parts that they produce.
