I was just out there the other day to pick up some bits and bobs.
The store front did not have any signage stating an impending closure .
Nevada was inside and of course the two dogs at the gate letting everyone know somebody was at the door.
A phone call will tcb .

-where they are
-how to contact them
-services offered and or their specialties.

Peter ( Rusty Woods ) isn't retiring as far as I know. A couple of months ago I asked him about it and he said he was just not taking new work for a while because he has too much of a backlog and wants to clear it out.

Wondering about gunsmiths in the Sudbury are, I have a couple of barrels for my stevens project that I'm needing to rechamber. I have a Stevens "Crackshot" in 32 and a Stevens tip up in 25. I've got 22 cal barrels for them now but I need to cut the chambers. One is going to be 22 short and the other 22 LR.

I see that Amazon has chamber reamers, wondering if it is a difficult or fussy job.

Dennis whipped this up for me recently .
Its the second build he has done for me .
Both have bee absolute Tack drivers .
Picture is my new .300 PRC . Have 70 rounds through it now and happy to report that I have stretched it out to 1760 yd mark so far on 2 different sessions . It crushes my 1080 yd target fairly easily :)
I highly Recommended Dennis for your gun smithing needs if your at all thinking about custom rifles .

Rechambering by hand is not difficult for a rimfire lined barrel.
Of course, care and lots of cutting oil are required.
I did one last century, and it turned out well.
With those elderly Stevens, you've not going for ultra precision.
