So I've watched a few of there episodes on Wild TV, "Long Range Pursuit".
Which led me to check out there website. They build what seems to be a very good product, most of there rifles are in the $4000 mark, but I believe that includes the scope. They also have a very cool muzzle loader as well. The BDC turrets they manufacture are interesting as well. Anyone have any first hand experience with there products? I'd like to hear some comments??

Price out all the parts and gunsmithing required to build it, and I suspect you will find you can get just as good made in Canada for the same or less.

Gunwerks isn't special, they just have great advertising.

Come on guys...its 1000 yards out of the box!
pfff What a bunch of marketing Bull$hit!

Give the average guy a custom rifle, rangefinder and some custom turrets and let him believe he can go out and kill deer and elk at 1000 yards! Real f___kin smart Davidson Bros...real smart.

But they do offer a local training course.... at 100yds or so

If you like the packaging, have at it.

There are many in Canada that actually shoot and compete at distances well beyond 1000yds. Ask them what they use and how they use it.

Might be very enlightening.

Buying a shiney red car with lots of horsepower doesn't necessarily make you fast on the race track.

Jerry you are like a "God" can you do laser engraving of turrets for BDC"s
What long range training courses do you offer? or are you more geared to LE/MIL given your background?
Are your saying that you can build a "custom rifle" for a couple of grand out of the box?:) That will shoot out to a 1000 yrds?

Your Canada's Long Range hidden treasure.

Do you sell Sightron scopes? I'm thinking on replacing my PR

Yes... and humbling as well.
I don't know many guys that can make a 1000 yard cold bore shot, hitting a pie plate(vitals) in a 15mph quartering wind. Then again I don't know anyone with a Gunwerks rifle either:rolleyes:.

I do sell Sightron scopes,

Visit my website for lots of info. And how to build very accurate rifles for a couple of thousand or much less.

Come on out to the OK valley and I can take you shooting if desired.

I have gunsmithing services listed in my dealer forum and lots of wonderful parts to offer.

Not sure if you want a solution or looking for a debate.w:h:

For those that know me, know I shoot alot at LR. There are so many things that simply do not work in the real world - BDC turrents being one of them.

If that floats your boat, a CGN member is making really nice turrent decals that would be far more useable then a laser engraved turrent that will likely need to be updated. Very easy to change when you need to.

If you are near an F class range, go see what real LR precision is all about. Talk to them about zeros' and elevation changes - might surprise you. See their rifles, optics and support gear. Would have direct application to any LR hunting scenerio.

Great place to practise too.

Then get outside and start slinging lead as far as you can. The more you shoot, the more you will understand what I am talking about.

Somethings really matter, a whole lot more doesn't

YMMV.

They guarantee the gun to 1000 yrds not the shooter...

Jerry,
I agree with what you said. I also think real lr precision comes in other forms. Shooting tgts at long range at uk distance w/o utilizing rangfinders in less than ideal positions under a time constraint and no sighters or fouling rds adds a degree of difficulty. Throw in moving tgts etc ups the ante greatly as well.
