H&K G36 civilian photos and details. UPDATED

Sigh. The unit price in the case of the IAR was $2000 per unit. Which is exactly the same price Norway paid, but they should have got a discount for putting up with all the recalls. I would want a discount if I had to ship my rifle back to the manufacturer a handfull of times. Then again the M27 had a couple of recalls as well.

I guess that is how you end up 100 million in debt while selling the wonder rifle. Suck up to the SOF guys and deliver sub par to the big army.

On the plus side they are now going to start focusing on the civilian market, and choice is usually good.

Can you send me links about the iar reacalls?

And the norwegians are getting the updated agrs free of charge. While the design is not as good as the updated agr the problem arose from the agr not being cleaned as recommended by the manufacturer. Look on the link I posted, a norwegian soldier goes over the "issues" the norwegian 416s suffered and what was the cause for them.

...we still talking about the G36? if there was a lake around today I would've thrown mine in it, you can add "worst prone" chin weld to my list of dislikes ... functioned perfectly though, accuracy with "green frangible ammo blows" ...

You could throw it at me instead. I will even make fake splashing noises for you. For free

the love affair would wear off real quick young fella ...

Well no i wont let you take it back and throw it at me again. I imagine it would start hurting after a while. But if you meant me getting tired of shooting it... challenge accepted

The newer one isn't that bad anymore
The old ones are bad.

I used to own a 1098S it didn't cost me $2 per km to keep it running

The problem is they use timing belt not timing Chain like most Japanese bike
So no matter you ride it not. Factory recommend you to change it every 2 years
That drive the cost a bit higher

Im guessing you don't own one and probably never have?

Monsters are even cheaper. 24g buys you a loaded panigale. And I am hearing 999 and newer bikes are surprisingly reliable and long lasting.

Same issue I have with the SL8, with so many different parts, it doesn't look like a G36 anymore. Why not sell the gun in its "natural" form and let people add rails, STANAG magwell and collapsing stock if they wish to?

How do you know it won't be sold in its original state?

Those pics are of the fully optioned/pimped american version from what I understand, below is a picture of the correct mag well but still with the goofy railed front end and horrible optics choice IMO

UPDATE: Another photo of the new G36 design

Can the railed handguard not be replaced with the non railed pre IDZ unit? From my understand all the handguards mount the same way. And I don't think they are selling eotechs with their rifles it will probably come without optics and irons. It will probably be bare rifle with 2 mags.

look at the pics, I say these two will not interchange.

Be more optimistic.

Plus you're wrong.

The pictures above share the same reciever. You can swap those stocks, hand guards and magwells with no issues.
look at the point where the front guard seperates from the reciever, new model is a few inches forward of the old as clearly seen in the pics.

You can probably remove the side rails. Possibly all of them. Let's wait till shot 2014. I don't think anything is finalized with this gun yet.
