look at the point where the front guard seperates from the reciever, new model is a few inches forward of the old as clearly seen in the pics.

from memory when i last used a G36, the receiver is quite a way under those front hand guards. thy wrap around it, so i think they will fit.

The hand guard slides over that, when I get home I can show you. My Sl8 has the same 2" piece. The railed Handguard chose to end infront of it instead of slide over it.

Plus you're wrong.

The pictures above share the same reciever. You can swap those stocks, hand guards and magwells with no issues.

It looks like there is no space for the original handguard, but if it slides over Im corrected.

I think the worst thing they can do is name it G36.... so many people have been dissecting every detail, comparing the original to the new model..... should have named it a G37 and then no one would be comparing LOL

however there is already a non restricted FRT for the G36............. another name means it will be subject to classification when imported.

Because rarely are their designs are even semi acceptable. a decent qualit firearm should be able to chuck out a few thousand without cleaning.

Now looks likely the SL8 clone is way more safe as more ban proof because it was design not taking G36 lower at all
And designed semi auto only reciver

The Swiss arm is special case because the SG550 551 were banned by name
But they can't use that excuse to ban others

So the SL8 will be a lot harder for them to ban by using the convert auto BS

That's because HK has to prove to german government that it is good for civilian use, germany if anything is even worse than canada for civ gun owners.
