H&k G36

There was one guy on here who had all 3, G36e, G36k and G36c.
As far as numbers, no way to tell. The G36 is non restricted. Except for the K and C, restricted due to barrel length.

Lol, yup. They still are rare, but with the new ones coming, the differences are so minor that only very hardcore G36 fans will pay a premium for them. I don't think we'll see anymore G36's for $16,000 like the last one I saw on the EE.

I'm after one of the new models. Those dudes can keep their '$10,000' rifles.
the new ones are what the SL8 was to the G36, the sporting version of a military rifle.

Is that what the going rate for them were? And anyone know if it actually sold for the asking price of 16k?
they regularly sold in the 10k range quite a few years ago, it is a supply vs demand thing.

I knew I guy in NS with a G36C. He paid $6k back when they were first imported. Later he sold it but I don't know what he got for it. He told a friend of mine that as far as he knew there were little more than a dozen in the country and only a few were the NR G36K model. He used it for a short time and got rid of it because he felt it had nothing over an AR.

I had an SL8/G36 convert and I have to agree.

more than a dozen of G36 in country for sure. at least 60 is my educated guess based on what I have seen in the last 15 years.

I owned the one greentips had. Then sold it a few years later.
Also have a ump in 45
I think the g36,s in cana da have been paSr around more then an hells angels house mouse.
The sighting system sucked so put on a kac rail system.
Only reason I sold it was to get a deposit on my first house.

G36 in Yuma Arizona proving ground. 24000 rounds fired, no lube, no cleaning, no malfunctions or parts breakage.
No rifle in the world can match that performance. As a battle rifle in poor field conditions there is no match.
Is it as accurate as a DI AR 15FOW's no. Is it as accurate as most combat rifles, yes....just take away the poor
sighting system and replace it with a metal sighting rail and a proper quality sighing system.

Don't listen to the German, Green Party, Defense minister who hates HK and all things German Military.....especially German Military Exports for war!!!

And that is what makes a rifle worth its weight in Gold!!!

But going from my Pelican case to my shooting mat, is a bit more realistic battlefield condition for me. Don't get me wrong, I would love to own a genuine marked G36 for my collection ( I do own another HK). What I need for actual shooting though is; something that shoots straight for distance, and promotes/assists/allows me to shoot it straight. Easily obtained reasonably prices parts, mags etc are high on the list too and same goes for the calibre/ammo.

If someone wants to throw out their G36 (Lima Pappa Sierra hint), I'll be there to pull it out of the discarded pile and treat it with great reverence.
