It's a great rifle, but not worth $3000, a KAC SR15 is a much better rifle, the only thing the G36 has is it's reliability over practically everything else. I wish HK would get KAC to help redesign the rifle with a new body. The rifle is awesome but it's made for mass prediction and you cannot tailor it the way you want for the individual, the pistol grip and sight over bore are a no go for me...I would still love one, but there are way to many other better options out there like the MR223 in either 14.5,16.5 barrel...if your heart is set on HK that is...

If you are serious I would be in.....probably the C & K model would be awesome....If it's semi only and cannot be converted to FA the RCMP would have to allow it....at least in theory....
Considering all the places they have been sold to police/mil, one would think used ones would be available on the world market that HK could not prevent us from importing.

PS: an sl8 with the Hera/ACR kit and a g36e barrel is perhaps a better rifle than any real g36. Just sayin'...
Of course surplus g36 barrels aren't exactly available in Canada.

I have seen G36 parts kits on Gunbroker. The receiver has been cut of course. Might want to check into the export/import regs.
