Very accurate, exceptionally reliable. Unquestionably still one of the very best off the shelf handguns available, period. You need to spend pretty big money to get something that is notably better than it without compromising accuracy or reliability.
I would say you should absolutely handle one first, though. The ergonomics can be a little clunky even for average-sized hands (at least it was for me). I personally prefer the P30 although you wouldn't go wrong with either (or a P2000).
