i was contacted by the Gravel Agency, and a new rifle is on the way, not just the barrel.

we'll see how this goes.

pin could be striking a bit off center, but enough to fail? i don't know.

Ok not too bad... But hard to tell from the pics.
Another thing to look at...If you happen to have the hammer extension check to see if it was grazing the bell of your scope.

nope scope was nowhere near it.

these rifles are known for this problem and i guess it's due to the transfer bar, or chamber.

thank goodness for warranty. i heard the new versions don't experience this problem, and they're sending me a new one!

All the BS from Remington and the issues surrounding these H&R's made me pass on the 17hmr.

I won't buy anything that has anything to do with Remington these days.

I still think its a head space issue. Chamber is alittle long and it's causing the light primer strikes.

its beyond lite primer strikes, the extractor didn't even work when i got it back from gravel.

i'm impressed they replaced the rifle at least.
