I'm going to be in Calgary next week so I can buy and save on the shipping... on second thought - who knows if there's a problem with putting a couple pounds of powder in my checked baggage for the flight back to Kelowna?
Its still considered as a dangerous good. They wont let u bring mouthwash so imagine how tight their panties would get if you tried to bring gunpowder along. It'd be seized most likely and other not-so-pleasant things may result.
Odd how u can have loaded ammo in your bags. Best to check with the airline first and bring proof if okay as those checkpoint charlie security guards may be overzealous. I can tell u that it is not allowed on WestJet and with Air Canada being even more restrictive, I doubt if you can even approach a sleeping ticket agent without setting off alarms..

I'm not sure I will look into it further with Westjet.. they definitely do allow mouth wash in your checked baggage, so why not gun powder?

hmm, 25 pounds is too much and a $25 HAZMAT fee for Loomis seems too expensive for 3 or 4 pounds worth.. what to do?
Set up a group buy with some friends. Not hard for 3 or 4 people to use 25 lbs.
I'm not sue if that's legal or not. Intuitively I would think not.
