I don't think it's illegal to take advantage of an error on their part. Now immoral, if it was at any store other than Walmart I would call it immoral and would bring it to their attention, but since they are one of the most greedy and unscrupulous corporations on the planet, I'd say good on ya!

Some of you should really do your homework and realize what the profit margins Wally has on their merchandise are, I strongly believe you will be feeling like you got robbed after a shopping experience.......... they were individual boxes, nothing else to scan, price came up , man paid price. Went back for seconds as this was a good deal, if there was a mistake cashier should have noticed, but they get paid minimum wage so they don't care. So who's fault is it ? I never heard of a cashier or anyone else at wally mart calling someone back " excuse me sir, I think I overcharged you on that item as it seems to be scanning at a higher than listed price " . Most of the time I am the stooge wasting my time sitting around waiting for them to verify the price they put on their merchandise, and I don't get paid for that. I guess once in a blue moon they err in the favor of the buyer........... I don't lose any sleep over it, I just RROOOLLLBACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I doubt if anyone is going to rot in hell over taking advantage of a Walmart "Rollback"
Would I do it? If I did, the fine people of CGN, wouldn't hear about it.

You really think their decision to sell/stop selling ammo was to make you happy/unhappy ? I will always support local gunstores before wally mart . I couldn't care less if they stopped selling the odd ammo box, but I sincerely doubt it will be because of their presumed pricing error, there's a lot more politics involved when it comes down to guns and ammo.
Seeing as Mal Wart has centralized everything the chances of this being a error across Canada are fairly good. Nothing illegal here as the OP paid the asking price and you snooze you lose. I don't think individual stores have control of pricing, all done from a head office.
Good for finding probably the best deal you will ever get on a carton of ammo. IIRC they have to sell you one of the item at the price it showed in the cash register, then they can correct their mistake.
Mal Wart are vultures in retail, they want all the business and every other retail organization closrd. Let that day occur and watch for rollbacks....

I cant believe people are defending walmart.
You can not pick and choose when wrong is right because of the parties involved.
Right and wrong do not change because of how you word things
The first instance the store most likely would have honored as a lot have that hey we made a mistake
can not take it back and hey good on ya for that score i would say.
But going back for all you could get once you knew,that is the slippery slope my friend.

It is a matter of personal integrity, ethics, morality, and honesty. Folks view things differently, live their lives to different standards.
Many of the problems that surface with EE dealings result from some folks priding themselves on being sharp, and ready to take advantage of the ignorance of others.
I remember a chap on another forum gloating about how he had refinished a revolver, and had passed it off as being factory refinished by the original manufacturer.

Taking advantage of a mistake in pricing by returning to purchase more does not instill faith in the OP's honesty or integrity, but I would not judge him solely on this. I'm sure he is a good person, he simply let himself be tempted. He is human after all, a flawed creature by definition...

Maybe the OP will donate a couple of bucks to a charity that helps the poor in countries where Mal Wart exploits their labor every day they work.

The OP said he purchased Winchester 555.That is a bulk pack that would be never be priced at what he paid. I wonder how some people sleep at night To all the people that say that is something that's okay, remind me not to buy anything off of you on the EE. Honesty and morals aren't what they used to be.
