That'll be the day..............
Just yesterday at the grocery store, picked up a loaf of bread with 1.99 red sticker on it. At checkout cashier scans it at 3.95 and carries on . I tell her about it and I get e stink eye and the wait for the manager to come over. Manager says oh the sticker is wrong...

I ask her to go check .I get a second stink eye and a 5 min. wait for her to go check the shelf. She comes back and says : Someone

must have put the sticker there as she proceeds to try and remove it from the bag with no success as the sticker is meant to rip if tampered with. I let the comment about "someone must have put the sticker" roll off my back but at this point the lineup is long and full of people with better things to do giving her the stink eye now. By the scanning code of practice in effect here in Ontario I should have gotten the bread for free, but, I wasn't willing to waste any more time discussing with someone who clearly won't accept responsibility for their actions or their employees so I paid the 1.99 and was on my way.
If all these retailers were honest , I wouldn't have to mention anything but get the loaf of bread for free as per rules(that they agreed to), yet I have never seen one to date say that I am entitled to receive the item for free when it scans for more than listed or even mention that it scanned for more than listed. 3 out of 5 trips to the grocery I will have to deal with pricing errors (not in my favor) and cashiers who won't scan their own store discount coupons, and I'm the bad guy trying to rip them off..............As I said before I won't be losing any sleep over that.
