Hand Size vs Pistol Grip Dimensions

Its been a year, does anyone have any other pistols to add? I’d really like to know how the Sig 320 trigger reach and the various FN pistols measure up. A Jerico, especially the F model Israeli trade ins would be cool too.

Ha! Thanks Skimmer, Prarieguy took the time to measure up a PDP so he should get the credit :)

I'd love to get a P30 and a VP9 on the list too.

A P30 cocked to be in single action with the smallest grip size would be best for me, but I think that in both DA and SA and with all grip sizes would be ideal. I guess whoever takes that one is going to need to receive a gold star for going the extra mile.

This thread should really being seeing more participation from the group given how often people ask questions about these things.

Here is a CZ 75 SP01 Shadow, with thin alum grips and Eemann flat trigger ( common IPSC setup )

Grip width is 1.115"

Trigger reach

SA 2.920" ( Resting )
With the slack taken up 2.630"
DA is 3.165" ( Resting )
With the slack taken up 3.080"

Grip Circumference = 5.471"

With the regular trigger installed. It be the same as any other SP01, minus thinner grip.

Anyone want to add a P30 to this list?

Considering the number of threads that get posted about hand size you'd think this would be getting more traction and possibly a sticky one day. C'mon people.

Just noticed Springfield armory made an XD-E with 4.5 inch barrel. Single stack polymer pistol with safety/decocker switch similar to the Hk USP pistol.

Very interesting! I hope manufacturers start doing more of this kind of thing, I mean really, how much of the worlds adult population wears a mens large glove? Like 30% at most?
