I've been thinking about something small, compact that fires the plentiful 9mm or 40S&W and am aware of some of our options. I am interested mainly in something below the 2G figure, and am not interested in any replicas (like the BD??? MP40 etc) What am I missing and what are owners thoughts?

As far as I know, we are limited to the following.

BRS99
TP9
Storm (no interest)
civi version of UMP, UMC or something??
AR variants chambered in HG calibers
FAMAE SAF (are these till around??)

And that's really all I can think of...surely I am missing a pile here. Thanks!

HK USC in .45

You don't see them for sale very often (which is why I jumped when I saw a used one for sale), but you should be able to get one used for under $2k. Check with Ryan at Wolverine if there are any available - they can order them in.

Yup - it's pricey if you don't reload. Yup - it's a long (16") barrelled SMG. Yup - there are lots of conversions and parts and things available, and they are pricey.

But it's very accurate, takes whatever ammo you feed through it, and has a certain style (unless you get it in grey instead of black).

Personally, I really enjoy mine.

I finally had the chance to check out a Storm just the other day, I've been reading about them for a long time but never got to handle one until now, I was really impressed with it......anyways not for everyone

Ya...that would be outstanding! Where can you get one?

Maybe Blue Line, the guys who had been/are trying to import the GSG-5

Looks like they have it in 9mm, but they don't seem to specify beyond that. More than they're charging for the BRS though.

yeah? what did you like about it Derek? Did you find the stock to be of decent enough length? They look so tiny, very curious about those and have not had a chance to shoot one yet. I LOVE the HK UMP, but the price tag and my wallet don't agree and likely never will
