Handgun Cases

Try Princess Auto. They have Pelican knock-offs, complete with pluck foam and the air valve, for less than half the price of a Pelican.
Went that route. Happy with them. I wonder if the foam quality is the same as it looks pretty close to the Peli's. There is always that " Foam on gun finish" discussion.
I don't use them for long term storage and it's pretty dry in my neck of the woods. For the money I have not seen anything close.

This thread has great timing indeed, was looking into a hardcase for 2-4 pistols or revolvers.I`ll check out Princess Auto today ,see if they have anything.

Thanks for the info folks !

LOL........Probably all made in China.........maybe at the same factory. Seems that Princess Auto box is the way to go for price.

I just went and picked up the case from Canadian Tire, thanks alot for posting that one! It's a great deal, can't get anything better for the price that's for sure. I plucked the foam out using the cut squares in the foam provided and it will do for now, but I think I might replace it with a solid piece of foam and get it hotwired or cut it some other way so it's all one piece.

I also went and looked at the ones at Princess auto but they were more expensive and quite a bit bulkier, definitely sturdier but too big and bulky for what I was wanting.

From one month ago.

I bought 2 of these from PA for $25 each (xmas sale) - a great deal for storage or shipping. I still haven't decided how to use my second box. However, I also use a single gun case (from my Girsan, that holds 2 with no wiggle room), because it is very small and I usually load my mags at home - can't transport the gun in the same box as ready to go mags and IPSC and range rules won't allow you to unbox your gun with live ammo in the safety area. Plus the larger box takes up too much space in the grab bag.

When I first got into some of the more serious aspects of Bullseye Shooting, it soon became apparent a decent case would be required. As luck would have it, at that time a gentleman nearby who was also into that game, was also a finish carpenter/ cabnet maker and had started making and selling cases for that purpose. Here's a couple of quick photos of mine, made by him.
A view of the exterior

And the inside

Made in the ;)Pre Metric era, size, L 16" x W 9.25" x H 14.5".
Inside, a slide out tray that clamps four handguns, a slide out tray at the top, a hinged lid with an adjustable scope mount, mounted on the lid interior.and two exrerior locks and an arborite(spelling) finish on the exterior.

You won't regret the pelican as stated above. Additional Velcro dividers and foam help out too to keep your kit intact inside the case. Good luck!
