But it appears its gone to your head bud. We don't need you to tell us how it must be. Can't you see that?
Hey - disagree and say 'i think there's a better way' then - but if you're going to disagree, have a reason better than "my imagniary friend says...." have some damn proof or at LEAST have looked into it.
But sorry - claiming that the fact elmer keith shot an animal at 400 yards with a 41 or whatever is proof that handguns are good for hunting is NOT offering anything intelligent.
On the other thread you posted that you had made up your mind and you will not support hand gun hunting. I honestly ask what the f**k is your purpose in this discussion?
What the #### is it to you? I'll participate in whatever conversation I want.
You got some damn arrogance - you criticize me for commenting on support for handgun hunting in a thread about support for handgun hunting, and now you figure you have a right to question what threads i post in? Are you SURE you're not a liberal?
And if i want your respect, i'll just walk around agreeing with everything you say... that seems to be your definition of the word. In the meantime - How about telling us all about your efforts to date to bring handgun hunting into reality? Share with us all the people you've recently spoken to in the gov't, or your extensive experience working with the current cpc. Maybe share some of the legal cases you've been looking over and your thoughts on legal avenues. Maybe brief us on some of the conversations you've had about the subject with our shooting orgs, and lobby groups.
see - i really actually did my homework on the subject, over a period of several months. So - when i say 'this is the problem you're going to hear a lot about handgun hunting' or 'the federal level is the first place we have to make some headway', i know a little about what i'm talking about. You can suggest another way, or you can think of a better solution - but you can't tell me I'm wrong unless you've actually taken the time to look at it.
The only reason you don't like what I'm saying is you don't like what you're hearing - not because it's not true. IF all it takes to lose your 'respect' is to tell the truth after looking into something despite the fact you wanted the world to be different, then your respect wasn't worth a hill of beans to begin with.
And if you actually THOUGHT about it - you'd see i didn't say one thing 'negative' about our chances - only that there are some issues and we'll have to work to overcome them (and laid out how.)
But hey - if you think I'm wrong, it's easy to prove it. Just announce to all the legions of hunters out there who you are certain are chomping at the bit to reach into their pocketbooks and support the fight that elmer Keith kills elk at 400 yards with handguns and so can they if they get involved now.
If you get thousands rallying to your cause, you were right. If you don't, chances are I was.
