Handgun Transfer approved

Previous timelines are irrelevant now. They probably have at least 3x as many transfers now than ever before.

Expect to wait at least 2 months if you're in Ontario and submitted a transfer during the past 24 hours, and even that is probably a low estimate.

The line is only going to get bigger the longer you wait. Next week you may have to wait an extra month.

I just had a transfer take 15 days in Alberta. I called the CFOs office in Edmonton this morning and 10 minutes later I received the transfer and was told that my purchase last night from Prophet River had been approved.

Strange times we are living in..

That’s because the AB CFO doesn’t like or agree with the federal boys so he likes to peeve them off by making our purchases in AB quick and painless, that’s why I like him!

We had several clear yesterday- a great sign and we just had one for NS clear this morning at 0715 and we only started it yesterday. All very good signs.
Please be patient with us as our time to get the firearm to shipping and out the door may not be 'same day' for a little bit here. :(

If you’re an Albertan, but got a handgun yesterday online through Ontario who approves the ATT? Also, how do they know you are a range member. I just got a new membership yesterday after not having one for a while, do i need to call my CFO to update it?

The AB CFO will need to issue the ATT. The transfer needs to be approved by both CFOs. You can email a copy to the AB CFO or to the dealer you bought it from.

I had try to call today 175 times, 4 times get through and after 2-7 min they hang up on me...Waist all my work day try to call..

i called for 3 hours straight, then again after lunch for 2 hours,MIRAMICHI IS NOT WORKING TO hard to help.
even their online business portal is slow as hell.and they ZERO intention of helping speed things up.and when it goes to the Ontario CFO,there's only 3 people working on transfers and then ONLY 2 days a week.and you wonder why Ontario is so bad in wait times, hopefully when Ford destroys the libtards AGAIN tomorrow,he'll get on their case and threaten to take the system private, last time the Ontario CFO was threatened, they cleared up a 3 month backlog in only 6 days, they CAN speed it up,THEY CHOOSE NOT TO,and that's Ontario for you, even Quebec does it in 3 days most times,

My first transfer was approved yesterday and I got an email with a transfer notification in two days. Didn't have to call them, bought from a store. Hoping to get the second one soon as well.

This is not the process. A retailer selling to a purchaser in another province inputs the transfer in the online portal and the CFO in the purchaser’s province reviews / approves the transfer.
