Handgun transfer wait times?

On Sat I walked in and out of Frontier Firearms (Prince Albert) in less than an hour. Frontier started the transfer by email and then they phoned in and explained that I live (Saskatoon) about an hour away and would it be possible to review my transfer. The lady asked me a few questions full name, current address, phone number, birthdate, city of birth etc. etc. Just waiting for the hard copies to arrive via snail mail.

I bought a pistol on EE on Sunday Aug 30, was in my grubby hands Thursday Sept 3. This was from Ontario to BC.

Week and a half from a store??? Holy.... That means i will not see my g34 for a while...

I've never had to wait more then a day or two from a store before. A little frustrated but without the registration it's not like I can take it out anyway.
