Handguns Worth Now

You guys are working diligently on getting this thread locked down eh?...

To be fair, maybe everything useful on the topic of the title has been said already anyway.

But I'm all ears if there are smart ideas out there about legal ways to share the use of formerly restricted firearms (and increasing their value to their owners).

To be fair OP definitely created this thread to try and #### on people scalping and purchasing over valued handguns in an attempt to feel superior for not buying them. So the thread probably should have been locked from the get go.

You mean calling it like it is.

Gun owner's have a long history of sabotaging themselves.

They also love to tell others how they should live, but "only want to be left alone"

A bunch of the vocal ones here have no clue about the real world, but it's OK... they can lablel the rest as lefties so they can rationalize anything.

Just as you like to blame all the other gun owners. See the resemblance yet? Pot, meet kettle. - dan

According to my local gunsmith, all sold handguns waiting in his vault are insured and cost about $20 per gun each month. The gunshop owner is really pissed because the very slow transfer hurts his profit every month.

I highly doubt that number. Insurance is based on value not on numbers. Pretty sure he has a general insurance and not per item.

The 12.1-12.6 crew were the problem

So happy to be special and grandfathered.... the same crew with the same old stories at the gun club.... always on the board of directors, blocking anything new...

It's their club....

Their rules...

And their status symbol....

I mean, that is my experience.

The vast majority of my handguns are 12.6, and anyone who thinks that I am or should be happy about grandfathering is an idiot!

What are you blathering about? I'm a gun owner and have never told anyone how they should live, so long as their "living" isn't interfering with my jam. When that happens, conflict ensues and it's comforting knowing all force multipliers are at my disposal, not his. This reality of agency manifests itself as a calm, yet forceful conversation with the interfering fellow. That's about as real world as it gets my guy.

I’m with this feller , this is all about getting firearms out of the general public for eventual control over the people , with no resistance.
Some people who know history will know how this worked out in with the Germans , who elected hitler

You're right. I should have specified social conservatives.

I have an extremely high pain tolerance. Far higher than yours. I pity you.

It starts with "it wont hurt that bad"

I laugh at people like you, you think the left will stop at handguns. How much will you tolerate when they prohib dozens of your handguns? Have fun at the range shooting ugly pcc and bolt action rifles.

None of my guns got anywhere to go when I croak. Gov't can have 'em for all I care, along with the rest of my worldly possessions.

May my guns be immortalized in manhole covers, 'till the end of time!

When the time is nearing:

Old folks home or prison.. both get three meals a day, and all the ### you want...

But the little blue pill is probably covered in prison.

As an economist I would say whatever the replacement cost would be. Say a CZ shadow 2 how much would it cost to replace now?

That's an interest thought... What if someone were to lose their pistol to a house fire. Will insurance now cover it? What's the value? Do you get a replacement (yeah right), or just cash?

Great question for your insurance company. Anyone ask theirs yet?

I was reading on another post about a gentleman that bought a glock for his broth in-law, planing to transfer once he got his licence. With the new bs he is stuck with it because of the transfer freeze. Someone was explaining that you can lend a restricted firearm to anyone with the appropriate licence. Is there truth to this ?? If so, is any paperwork required ? It was explained if you can lend it out as long as the registration goes with it. What ever the terms are must be clear to both party’s. Can I go borrow a glock from the local gun store? 1000$ To borrow it for ever ?? Let me know.

No. The registrations specify where you intend to store the firearm (address). So, the scenario is thus....The Gestapo knock on your door with a fist full of papers and they want to see your sh1t. "Where's firearm abc/123?" "Ugh...I lent it to a friend." "Interesting, we have no record of an ATT issued to you that has you transfering firearm abc/123 from this location to your friends location. How did it get there?" (quick, think some bullsh1t!?). "Uh, I mailed it to him! Yea, mailed it to him!" SS Officer, "Where is this friend of yours? Ultimately you are responsible for the safe storage of firearm abc/123 at the location indicated on the registration. This is going to be a problem for you."

It's a restricted firearm, big brother wants to know where it is, and how it's moving about at all times. Makes it easier to confiscate that way you understand?

Ya I figured as much. But a guy can dream. I wanted to get a glock or something like that. Didn’t have the money when all of this was going down. Hopefully we can turn this country around and get it pointed in the right direction. As I watch real media. Like people that don’t just read a script I wonder if there is even hope. Vancouver just signed on to the United Nations undrip program. People in charge of this should be hung for treason.
