Hanging with the cool kids - the cheap edition.

So true. Thanks for sharing. I like to form my own opinion basing on my personal experience, so after reading so much about how great Norinco products are, I went and got myself 1911, small 22 lr pistol and bolt rifle. Long story short...I never had before or will ever have again such junk. 22 pistol disintegrated in my hands within first 200 rounds literally falling apart all over the range's floor. 1911 was jamming on everything no matter what magazines I was using. Many parts were not properly heat treated including the slide - slide stop was eating into the slide! Sharp edges everywhere. Bolt rifle wasn't accurate even at close range and feeding was problematic, sometimes it worked fine, sometimes it didn't. Moving the bolt was like pushing a donkey though. Every time I'm reading about Norinco quality I laughing out loud. My experience pretty much mirrors yours. I did my lesson I guess. Pay once, cry once.

I'm shocked..... No I'm not. :)

LOL...interesting that this thread came up again.

I should note that while the gun sh&t the bed within 375 rounds or so, it had many times more than that in dry fire rounds.

So in essence, this was a high round count test for a Norc... :D

It was inexpensive and I could get into one (with mags and a quality holster) for about $700. Which is almost half the price of a new Sig and gear. It's hard to justify spending money on a real Sig, and purchasing an NP22 is a solid FU to Sig's QC and general jackassery lately.

BTW...with a bit of patience and luck you can find a brand new P226 for that price on EE. Just got myself one, German made, unfired with 3 magazines for similar number.
