Has anyone tried the stun baton on themselves ?

this is pretty much the universal starter pack for 90% of their owners
not even close
of course antis would use the same picture for gun owners

Yes, that's right. I suppose the reason why 90% of dog attacks are done by pit bulls is because their owners are all retarded.
Maybe we should neuter pit bull owners instead of blaming the breed.

And where do you get your 90% statistic from?

Funny how this breed that was called the "nanny dog" for decades because of their use as children's companions, suddenly became monsters.

Remember the days when German shepherds were the evil dog?
Or dobermans
or rottweilers

The common thread in all of these breeds getting into trouble, reputations of being tough that got the idiots wanting to own the baddest dogs to buy them
These were the same people that shouldn't own dogs
The same people that bred unhealthy strains

I was attacked by a great Dane when younger, I blame the owner not the breed
the same as I blame the shooter not the gun

Two different stories that confirm 2 different pit bull attacks, where the dogs were later shown to not be pit bull

If you guys really think these stun devices work on larger aggressive animals, you should think twice before attempting to use it for self defense. These junk are gimmicky devices that do not work against real world vicious/ aggressive animals that will only aggravate them even further and attack you. You can watch this video below of people using everything at their disposal, pepper spray, taser, stun stick, batons, hot water, kicks, punches, etc. to try to get the pitbull off, but all attempts failed to deter the dog. Imagine a scenario using it against a grizzly bear or wolves that are larger animals, is like committing a suicide! Stun devices are basically useless, which is sort of like shooting a bear with a nerf or water toy gun! You can watch the video link below.

I can't be bothered to read all these pages to see if this was addressed, but that video is evidence of nothing. The guy with the tazer barely even, if at all, touched the dog with it. The fact that you can hear the clicking means it's not making contact through tissue. And he only jabbed it at the dogs butt for a split second each time instead of grabbing the thing and pressing it into something more vital like the neck or chest and holding it there which would be LIGHT YEARS more effective. The rest of those people were giving pansy ass attempts at kicking or striking the dog, any confident human could drop a heavy stomp or two on that dogs spine to immobilize it. Those people were all too gentle and retarded. Even to start strangling it would be more effective than their attempts. I'd hate to have that bunch of retards be the ones "trying" to rescue me if I were being attacked by anything. Any normal animal, especially WILD animal would have been deterred by the human presence alone let alone the hostile mob of advanced apes surrounding it. The fact that the tazer wasn't effective isn't surprising in more ways than one.

However I agree that the stun baton would not be my first choice against ANY animal, it does f****** hurt though. Obviously because your mind is in grizzly bears and wolves, the stun baton is not adequate.

I've never been concerned by coyotes.

There is a guy selling them here in BC for $50
These are batton/flashlight/stun combination

I personally would rather carry bear spray and a stout walking stick for protection against aggressive animals
Even if you forget about the issue of how effective the shock is, I would also be concerned about how reliable it is.
How do the electronics hold up if you hit something hard with the baton
How durable is the baton
Is the baton waterproof or merely weather resistant
if you are using the flashlight, how long before it negatively affects the stun

If it's the same as this(looks like the Canada Ammo cane) then it seems pretty damn useless to me.

If these 2 fairies can take these shocks with no real issue, I suspect a coyote, or bear, with all that hair would be much less impressed.

Useless toy...

I've tried it out on myself. I found that if you push the button before touching your leg. Once the blue arc touches your skin and you feel pain you pull back and don't get the full effect of the stun baton. If you depress the stun baton to your leg and then push the button.... Well just make sure nothing is in front of said leg. My leg kicked straight out in front of me and I definitely had no muscle control. The button was depressed for as fast as I could let the button go. Half second at the longest. The noise alone is discouraging but I wouldn't want that thing to be held against my body for longer than the half second it was.

honestly when it comes to dogs, it is all about the owner/s, as well as often whether one of the dogs is fixed or not. For instance, I have a unfixed male black lab- nicest dog you ever met, however other male dogs don't like the fact that he still has his bits n pieces, so try to pick a fight with him. Many fixed dogs seem to suffer from the same issue as humvey drivers.

My Jack Russell was attacked last summer by a Pit Bull, nearly killed him. He had to get 30 stitches and I think the only thing that saved him from dying was me getting in-between my dog and the Pit bull. I hate the dam breed and they should be banned outright in Canada.

You sound a lot like people who lost someone to "gun violence"
