Has anyone tried the stun baton on themselves ?

If you guys really think these stun devices work on larger aggressive animals, you should think twice before attempting to use it for self defense. These junk are gimmicky devices that do not work against real world vicious/ aggressive animals that will only aggravate them even further and attack you. You can watch this video below of people using everything at their disposal, pepper spray, taser, stun stick, batons, hot water, kicks, punches, etc. to try to get the pitbull off, but all attempts failed to deter the dog. Imagine a scenario using it against a grizzly bear or wolves that are larger animals, is like committing a suicide! Stun devices are basically useless, which is sort of like shooting a bear with a nerf or water toy gun! You can watch the video link below.

Harsh video. If that was my dog, that pit would lying in a pool of its own intestines a few seconds after latching onto my dog. No stick, spray or stun device need. A knife below the rib cage works just fine.

Go ahead, flame me. Especially on the legal aspects.

It was an aggravating video to watch but it's really telling how unreliable so many gimmicks are. Considering it was liveleak, I was expecting someone to lop its head off with a bowie knife. Years ago, this vicious dog was mauling my neighbors dog and he finally and to smash it's head in with a big rock to stop it.

Why no one picked the dog being attacked up is beyond me... Why no one picked up and hurled that attacking dog into next week against a wall is also beyond me... Ive split up a few dog fights, nothing will stop the attack except a physical separation. Gate, door ect... Last one I had to split up was 2 dogs both over 80 lbs.. Grabbed that SOB by the scruff (no collar or harness on it) and whirled it over the deck. (only a few feet drop, 5 ish id say).

If you are looking for yote defense in the city or un an un gun friendly zone. Knife... Spray or other tactics can end you up with it on yourself or injuring your self... A couple well placed knife hits and a throw away will likely kill and deter the animal.

That #### is simply horrible, but it happens. Generally speaking, WILD animals will run as soon as you put up a fight\ make the sparky sound

Not sure about stun batons ; but many farms use battery operated cattle prods ; and if a cattle prod can deter a bull , it can deter a coyote for sure....

Ever loaded hogs or cattle?
Cattle are smart in that they just want to get away from you. Hogs on the other hand.... crap themselves after #1 (they tend to do that anyways), but couldn't give a rats ass about the prod after 2 or 3 lifts.

Me personally... I'll take a pass, unless its absolutely necessary

I tried to get one of the moderators (you know who you are) here to test his on himself and have his wife film it for me. The pu$$y wouldn't bite LOL. Well I tried.

You could lay a beating on a being with the baton. It would probably work better to beat the being a bit with it first then stun said being to make sure it isn't getting up.

Please insert animal of choice in for the word being.

Let's try this with a random animal:

You could lay a beating on a dragon with the baton. It would probably work better to beat the dragon a bit with it first then stun said dragon to make sure it isn't getting up.

Well since amps kill.... bad idea
Push stun is more of a last ditch effort against a motivated, let's say animal.

I've taken probe and push, push hurts a lot more, but only where it's touching me. The rest is good to go. I wouldn't rely on one of these as anything more than a gimmick or toy.

I'm sorry but it's a cheap pocket stun from the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC! Not the EQUIVALENT MODEL stun baton legal here!

Not only THAT? But the pitbull already has it's prey FIRMLY LOCKED IN IT'S MOUTH and is in full blown adrenaline/rage mode.... ergo the only way you're getting it off? KNIFE or GUN.
