Have Python Prices Settled Down?

You know what they say about a fool & his money
I've owned a 357 Python & a 38 Diamond Back ,
Wile they were nice vintage pistols I don't regret selling them .
Personally I prefer vintage S&W ;)

I don't disagree with parts of what you say. I have several vintage Smiths and they are great guns. However, I'd say the Colt snake guns are only overpriced in terms of their qualities solely as firearms. In reality their present day value has more to do with collectability and in terms of that the market decides.

"Fair" value is exactly whatever someone is willing to pay. On that day in that place an unfired nickle Python with box and papers was worth 6K+.

I think buyers fees are a rip off , this is a new thing and it just doubles the intake for the auction company, and Burns , most colt guys can manage smith, I know it is very tough on you guys , Than D. Wesson entered .
All I know , I was always selling them too cheap.

I said that for some laughs. Dont get too ruffled. Colt made nice stuff and still does.
