Awesome, thanks. That'll give me some time to scope out a couple spots and convince someone to come out with me. My hunting buddy (waterfowl) isn't the quietest in the bush... and even if he were, he doesn't know anything about deer hunting either!

Is it me or all the hunt codes for surplus tags this year are for Archery ?

Maybe Im just reading the document wrong.

I doubt it, but I'll look into it .
The MNR really want to cut down on the number of does....but, of course, not going to the extreme of lowering the price of excess tags ...heaven forbid...

As I understand it, we should hear by late August if we were successful. I'm glad my thread got out in time to be of assistance to some of you. My fingers are crossed for you all.

Right, I misread the document. I ordered one yesterday no issues for 9B. Valid in any open season for that WMU. Ill probably get one for 7B next week......only 1200 surplus for that wmu

Bummer!!! Came home from Thunder Bay, and found my tag in the mail. No joy on the antlerless!! I hope my bud gets one, 'cause I'm now buckd only. Good luck to you all, and I look forward to lots of good hunting stories in the forum come late fall.
