As i recall, even with the stock trigger, with a bit of familiarization it was damn accurate, and your right about the weight. Shooting 9 semi auto is like a 22 in those things.
Yup that fixed barrel with traditional riffling really does wonders for accuracy. The test target that comes from the factory shows a 2 inch group at 25 meters (27.3 yards). And if you take away one cold barrel flyer the group is actually 1.5 inches! That right up there with the best pistol out there, and this is not a traget pistol but military grade pistol derived from a selet fire machine pistol. Thats pretty amazing when you think of it. To reduce recoil its got a dual spring recoil buffer that looks like a small piston shock that engages the slide at the end of its movement to slow it down. You can fire anything from soft reloads (that would not even operate another pistol) to hot +P ammo and the pistol will function 100% of the time and will be pretty soft to shoot with either load. If you fire a hot load the piston is engaged and it will buffer the recoil. Its a pretty ingenious system. Its very similar to the P7K3 buffer in function, but instead of using an oil filled buffer its a more robust double overlapping spring design. No doubt it influenced the USP recoil reduction system as well.
Another cool feature woth mentioning is the unique shadow effect front sight. Never seen that on any other pistol and it actually works great.
