Reliable gun in Vancouver just got in the HS HTR. I think I'm in love.

I questioned the price tag until I held it, then I questioned how I could afford it.....

I've fondled a couple HS guns at WSS in WPG... mighty tempting. I love how they come with the crowns protected... those WWS monkeys can scratch a gun up quick....

I love mine, HTR in 308. Shoots way better than I do. HS has an outstanding reputation for their single point cut rifled barrels.

But I would have to say you are delusional.................................

I have yet to find a off the shelf or SEMI CUSTOM rifle that is as smooth as one built on a aftermarket action from the ground up.

It's the nut behind the bolt that makes the difference. An HS is a very accurate rifle and just because you have a custom rifle built from the ground up doesn't guarantee one hole groups. People seem to think a so called 1/2 moa gun will always shoot 1/2 moa. I also have a built from the ground up Remington with a Rock 5R barrel, McMillan A-5 etc and honestly both rifles outshoot me by a longshot. I have also seen guys with a stock Remington PSS outshoot guys with so called high end custom rifles, go figure.

Wow pretty rifle, but at 5gs. Man I've heard HS is fantastic but hell I gotta sell my car to get that thing.

5g's? Is that just for the rifle and what caliber. I paid $2900 and change for my HTR in 308 last year.

That is the price on their website. 308 as well. $2900 from where???

Just went on their site and unless I missed it, could not find any prices listed for the HTR. I am looking at a H-S Precision catalog from 2006 as I type. Along with the catalog came a handout, "2006 Tactical Rifle Features and Price Comparisons". The Pro Series 2000 HTR as listed in 2006 was priced at $2495.00, USD of course. Where the 5g's came from I have no idea.

Yeah, HS's seemed to range from $2600-$3200

Are you sure? The one at reliable - on their website now - is more than that. This one comes with 5(?) mags, a case, two skookum cleaning rods and a pelican case/foam cut to the rifle.

It's a sweet rig for sure, but as said, it's a lot of dough.

Just looked at their site, shows a HTR in 308 for $4950 but doesn't list any of the above items. Am I missing something here or am I blind? In any event a new HTR, not including any accessories etc is around 3 grand.
