Hello From Edmonton

Oh my god children...

Jeff, there's lube at the range. Cassie, stop grilling the boys. You're more than tough enough to handle anyone and anything. You and you alone are the sole reason why I explain that any caliber can be shot by any adult.

Mark, the SKS is a dirty Russian designed ammo slut. Everyone knows this. Loose tolerances mean perfect ease of use. AND! I will see you at work tomorrow. I will bring a toy for you to look at too.

Cass,

You flinch because you are trying to guess when the gun is going to go off. Pick up some snap caps and have someone else load your gun. When you pull the trigger, watch the front sight closely. you will see it go down and to the left if you are right handed, down to the right if you are left handed. Try to squeeze the trigger untill the gun fires, not to "Make" it fire. Do this repeatedly untill the gun stays still when you squeeze the trigger. Dry fire as much as you can, use snap caps to make sure you do not break your firing pin. If you want to learn to shoot, then shoot. Want to shoot better, shoot more!!!

Have fun,

Scott

Cass if you're transporting pistols or small SMGs then I'd suggest using a bookbag or a laptop bag. Its should be big enough and not look too out of place. If you happen to be transporting a rifle, then there are more inventive ways to conceal it. Hockey bags can hold many rifles (ask me how I know :D)

P.S. If you happen to cross any body of water, be sure to use a floating case......you know....tragic boating accidents and all.

Hey Cass, just use a backpack. Your gun will fit just fine inside one.

And Mark is correct. Tragic, just absolutely tragic boating accidents occur. Usually on Cold Lake or Wizard Lake.

What flinch, Cass? You did very well with the 250 or so rounds you put through the XD-9 and Beretta 92FS 9mm's here at the range. Just grip them a touch tighter next time to avoid those FTF's that plagued you ;) :D

You do just fine Cassie. You handled my No4 T just fine, along with the Nagant sniper and the M1D. Although you looked kind of funny with the M1. The look of surprise on your face was priceless, but I'll be damned if you didn't hunker down for the next shot and finish off the en bloc plingy.

Yup, hunting sea zombies is exactly like hunting badgers; your life is at stake so just shoot 'em if you see 'em.

Also poor grip may not have been the reason for the FTFs. IIRC she had no problem with an Inglis, Luger or P38. My suggestion would be to remove the front site on the XD and the 92, then put a different pistol underneath both. Preferably of the HK variety :D

I must whole heartedly agree with Mark on this one. By the way dude, ever complete the Bolt Buster experiment? I wanna shoot a shotgun and a rifle at the same time.

The project is behind schedule (apparently 4140 is a wee bit slow in cutting). Besides, I have one final design change to confirm with you. Also, most of the test parts are in, I just need a magpul m93 stock, they are a bugger to find nowadays.

That's a tad bit demanding there Cass... It took several weeks of planning and quite a bit of money for this... Although, you would be there for the inauguration of it. Or at least able to drive the other driver home after it exploded in our faces.
