Received the rifle on Thursday from a guy that bought it brand new 2 months ago, went out to shoot it this afternoon, I put 10 rds through it with no problem then handed it over to my shooting buddy and on his fourth shot the empty case barely made it out of the gun and when I looked over the rifle was seperated at the hinge pin, the hole that the pin goes throught split in 2 and the receiver slid forward but the the guide rods and everything else stayed in place. I can send pics of it if you want, I do want to know what caused this as I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else but more impotantly I need to know how to go about getting this repaired, and what the warranty policy would be on this, I have the original box and theres a sticker on it that says 01/05, i'm guessing that the manufacture date.

Any help would be appreciated as I see no ther fix but a new lower and i'm guessing it would be pretty expensive.

Ok I guess I will call them and see what they say, does this happen often and do you think it will be covered under warranty?

Do you have contact info for Wolverine supplies??

Baring a catastrophic case/bolt failure or horrible user abuse, this sounds like a molding flaw.

If it's a flaw, you can be sure Wolverine will make good on it. If it's abuse, they will still work with you to get it running.

I know the previous owner and in the couple months he owned it he took care of it and it shows as it looks new and I sure didn't abuse it as I was just test firing it for the first time, sounds like Wolverine will be good to deal with, How can I find out if this rifle is still under 1 years old in order to be under warranty and also anyone have the phone # for wolverine?

This is why I like metal recievers! I thought about getting one a while back but those plastic lowers... eech! Good luck getting a replacement, that sucks especially when it was your first test firing.

I'm labeling this as fluke as I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem, I'm not the original owner so i'm kinda nervous about getting a hassle trying to get warranty.

That's the same thing that'll happen if the receiver is unlocked and allowed to swing open until it hits the stop, which breaks the front pin boss.

if thier is a problem "sell" it back to the original owner and get them to file the claim!
