Hey fellas I'm looking for suggestions to fill the caliber gap I have in the safe. I currently have a 243, 358 win, 35 whelen, 375 H&H. Looking to fill the gap from 243- 375 H&H . It's going to be used/ or can be used for bear, moose, and deer. Would like it to be flatter shooting rifle(under 400yds). I hand load for my rifles so that can be considered to. Here's a poll of what I've been considering....thanks

Hey thanks fellas for the quick replies. Poll is up. I've owned a 7mm mag, 7mm STW, 300's, 260's, swedes, just having a hard time on this one. I've got guns to hunt anywhere I want, but as a gun nut it's more of a "want" than a "need".

Ditch the Whelen and go with a .308, OR ditch the .358 and go with a .30/06... with a .243, the .308 makes more sense.

P.S - many of your poll choices don't make sense as a "gap" filler between .243 and .358...

Opened her up a bit hoytcanon on caliber limits as you mentioned. I've got lots on the top end for HP just looking for something in between and maybe a little flatter shootin.

You should get a 7 Mag. All the rifles you have run normal close range type of gamut. You need something flatter to stretch out.

Hey BUM the 7 mag is one of my top choices. Had one before in a 700 BDL SS with a McMillan stock. One of my most accurate rifles I owned. I regret to this day selling it.....

Sounds to me you desperately need a 7mm RUM, and. Have I got a deal for You
I had a Sako 75 in 7mm STW (similar to RUM)nice rifle, just the 26" barrel turned me off. My 7 mag ran a 24" and handled better for me. All of my current rifles are 22" or less in barrel length. Yes even the H&H it's 21.5"? Sako kodiak.....
